MainLineDelivery.com, a startup venture, is the exclusive online ordering site for the Main Line area, Pennsylvania.

Requirements

MainLineDelivery.com lacked a presence online.  They required an easy-to-use site which would generate a list of restaurants in particular serving areas.  Menus for restaurants needed to offer complex options, such as toppings, sides, and preference notes.  These orders would then be emailed or faxed to the selected restaurant.   MLD required a high level web site that:

• Appealed to their target audience of college students and working parents
• Offered visitors a user-friendly interface for placing orders
• Allowed MLD to add and edit restaurants and menus in-house with ease

 Solution & Results

ADI designed and built a youthful web site for the startup company.  Our E-Commerce Platform organizes restaurants and menus in an intuitive way, ensuring users locate their food choices easily.  ADI customized our E-Commerce Platform to allow MLD to offer complex menu items, such as pizza toppings and side dishes.

The platform comes with our Content Management Solution, which allows MLD to edit their site content as well.  ADI also built in rotating ads to enable MLD to promote particular restaurants directly from the home page.

Customers begin their experience by entering their zip code or logging in to reach Step 2, Choose a Restaurant.  They are then presented with organized menu categories, and extensive options for each food item.  As they add items to their order, a receipt tallies on the same screen on the right, ensuring customers’ selections are correct.  Finally, customers can review their order and even choose to tip the driver directly on their credit card.  ADI integrated a faxing system to ensure orders reach restaurants quickly.  Customers can check their Order Status, and even log in at a later date and simply re-order their favorite items from their Order History.

ADI and MLD are consistently adding new features to the site, and working together to send e-mail blasts to MLD’s customers.
